Acquire the skills to be able to independently cut and facet precious and semi-precious stones.
The course is divided into two modules * which can be purchased separately.

* it is recommended that you have completed module ONE to access module TWO or have previous knowledge.

MODULE ONE //
BASIC COURSE CUTTING AND FACETING OF GEMS
During the faceting, all the cutting phases will be followed, starting from the rough to the polishing, for the creation of various gems with different designs and styles of faceted cut. The following will certainly be made: 1 round brilliant cut, 1 stepped emerald cut, 1 square cut, 1 oval cut. We will also see the use of the Gem Cut Studio program, in order to create your own custom cuts. - Basic raw material included. * - Possible purchase of different material and / or larger quantities. - The Gems made will trim to the students.

MODULE TWO //
ADVANCED COURSE CUTTING AND FACETING OF GEMS
In the advanced faceting course all the cutting phases will be followed, starting from the rough to the polishing, for the creation of various gems with different designs and faceted cutting styles. The following will be performed: 1 drop cut or 1 marquise cut + 2 other cuts with different patterns (for example square emerald; briolette; pattern cuts with animals and / or flowers ... etc) + an example of stone re-cut already cut. Time permitting, each student will try to create his or her cut using the Gem Cut Studio program, and then execute it. - Basic raw material included. * - Possible purchase of different material and / or larger quantities. - The Gems made will remain with the students. * Raw material included in the "Cutting and faceting of Gems" course: Various natural and synthetic quartzes (eg: rock crystal, synthetic amethyst)
